t's me, Cindi. Horse lover, endurance rider and of course a Photographer !
I am Cindi, passionate observer and image maker. I have been taking pictures for more than 20 years. However, I first learned to be a nurse and have also spent many years with the care of patients. Photography was always a faithful companion. I started photographing the people I cared for and collecting their stories. That was the starting point for getting serious about photography. I did internships with photographers and learned a lot about light, composition, sense and nonsense of photography. I decided to study photography and enrolled at the HAWK, University of Applied Sciences and Art, in Hildesheim, Germany. After completing this degree, I worked on a project about dementia. the resulting images opened the door for me to enter the master's program in culture and identity in Bremen, Germany at the HFK, University of Arts.
I worked for magazines, agencies, small and big companies. I photographed entrepreneurs, fairs, events, big and small people and their beloved animals. I publish in national and international print media, books and other publications.
Then I fell in love, got engaged and married. I packed up my things, my child and my horse and moved to the other side of the world. Here in Choteau, Montana we now live and work. Here I am on the road both as a portrait photographer and as a photojournalist. Besides senior session, weddings, family and pet sessions I am always looking for my own subjects and stories.
